Hard mode is falling pathetically to my gold-armored, gold-shoed, gold-gun-carrying tiny avatar of destruction with his army of gold turrets massacring everything from their elevated floating platforms and I'm starting to think this isn't how it's supposed to be happening.

Of the many things I can make at the workshop the only thing I seem to be able to sell is the wood armor. Noticing this, I have my four workers growing a huge number of trees and sawing away at their three workstations like my fortress is an industrial era sweatshop.

I'm not complaining here, but I'm running out of room in my fortress to put more gold turrets and all challenge has exited the "defending" part of Build and Defend. Is this normal?

This is definitively not what was intended.

I'll remove the ability to sell wood armor in the next version.

Tkx for the report.

Don't worry, I like this kind of mechanisms, so it is not something that I want to get rid of the game (that’s kind of the opposite)
The next version will have something more or less similar -- but less imbalanced (it will be based on the metal industry).

So... If we aren't supposed to be able to sell wood armor, what ARE we supposed to be able to sell?

Achoum seemed to suggest that we'd be able to make crafts out of metals that we could sell. Rings or toys or something, I dunno. Something Dwarf-Fortress-y maybe?

I'd much rather prefer to sell anything i craft, even if wooden items are next to worthless late game.

I know what you mean. Honestly I don't like the entire shopkeeper premise. Where's he get his stuff anyway? Why do you even have to make some of your own items?
