It was the eighth night and I was prepared to effortlessly curbstomp that lava-trailing worm thing on my way to more important matters. As I wait in front of my fortress, gold gun in hand, the screen starts shaking and I get a notification I defeated the boss. Before I can even complete the thought "well, whatever" in my own head, what appears to have been a god-damned meteorite blows a huge hole in my fortress and then three or four flaming bats swoop out from behind a still-intact wall and kill me in one hit. From full health.

What.

I'm already annoyed by that one-way portal failing to tell me that I need specific equipment just to survive the first two seconds after stepping through. Now, between workers suddenly developing an affinity for walking off the edge of the map and weird-ass glitches like this, I can't even get to that point again.

The game has the potential to be fun, but it still needs a lot of work.

I know this game still need a lot of work -- And that is definitively what I am doing.

On the other side, if the game was not hard, it would not be fun.

Anyway -- I think the next release (0.10.2) will make the game a bit more easy regarding those points.

One of the main reasons I searched out this game was because I was sick of how easy Minecraft was. I wanted a game where I needed to constantly be on my toes, always scanning my walls for breaches, and never felt more than one step ahead of enemies.

I say make the game harder. Just fix the bugs and oversights. If you're feeling really charitable, you could add a little helpful tip whenever something new appears to ensure that players don't die in the first two seconds. Like, for Hell, "you might want to bring a lamp." There's a difference between hard and bullshit.

Was 80% of 0.10.2 as a response to this post?

I feel awkward...

Opinions of players are quite important for the dev. of B&D.

So yes, I made a set of improvements based on your post.
