My brother and I (Metaloid) played this game during summer. We tried to play it tonight and we could not gather dirt with a pickaxe. Is this a bug or did something change?

I just read the release notes - this is on purpose?
We had to stop playing because we could not make the dirt furnace for iron ore.

yeah, let's just wait for the next update to undo the modification, or at least change the requirements to wood instead of dirt..
My way to get around this problem is to play first in older version, mine 10 dirt block, save, then load the save from the latest version. At least the dirt block still there.
