I have experienced this bug first hand and also have seen it happen to others. I do not know what causes it but was walking through my base when I suddenly fall and start taking damage. I paused the game and closed build and defend without saving hoping to preserve my world. If you can help this then please reply.

This kind of collision bug are one of the hardest to reproduce and solve.
Edit:If you can describe me the kind of situations that lead to the bug, that would help me.
Anyway, in the next coming version (v1.0.13), I added a security system to make sure people do not fall through the world.
