I see a lot of people move sheep into their bases, how is this done? I thought it was with the leash but I realize now that it is for the dog.

Use wood stick, create it from wood block
The sheep entity is also a bit bugged :/ Sometimes, the sheep climbs stairs but sometimes he simply won't... Achoum if you read this ;)

In more details, you can use a "wood block" to craft (in your inventory) a "wood stick".
Then, you can use the wood stick to lead the sheep where you want.
Like horses or cows, sheep are not good with stairs (Before you ask, there are no horses or cows in B&D -- at this moment).
However, the next version will propose you a solution to deal with this problem :)
