Ingame, the mobs are pursuing you wherever you are. In case of you would enter in a hurry in your base without walking all along your anti-mobs labyrinth you could build this:
This is an invisible stair for mobs but also for the workers

A very nice idea, i guess the idea behind this trick is the AI cannot find a path to use the first stair, so they use the second one, right? Would that mean i can put anything as long it block the first stair?

Yeah normally you could put another block :) Personally,I put a second stair because it's easier to climb :) Make sure that it works the first night ;)
