It would be cool to have your little ewoks(worker bear guys)to be able to have like an engineer skill so he can like build or rebuild turrets and repair them in a certain spot, of your choosing of course, and to have the ability to have them build turrets too, something neat too would be like a turret that shoots tar at the enemy and slows them.(last sentence is abit of an afterthought).

It would be too easy! Don't you wanna play? The workers won't do all the works instead of you xD
they basically already do, if you want them to farm they farm, build, fight, hell they even cut down the trees. to make the bread, if they didn't want you to have a challenge why make little ewok helpers to basically do everything. and besides it gets harder anyway and i doubt that there wont be a point where you will have to help along with them.
i think it would be cool if the workers had a class or whatever you'd like to call it that collected honey from the bees and so therefore they could be called beekeepers and maybe ones that did in fact go around and repair towers like you said, engineers so to speak but the catch is, is that you would have to build the wrenches and personally equip them before they could do this because early game would be so unbalanced otherwise.
