I know that you need to give them wheat I'm just not sure how to actually give it to them. whenever I approach one they run away and whenever I try to use the action button on them nothing happens.
Thanks if anyway can enlighten me :D

Pressing one of the buttons while standing on him should work.
Try all of the buttons and then report further.

Actually this is a bit more complex.
When a worker is not tamed, he is afraid of you (is you get too close).
To tame it, you should put some wheat on the floor close to him (but not too close).
At some point, the worker will come and eat the wheat.
At this point, it will be tamed.

When you say put it on the floor does that just mean drop it?

I always just rush towards them while they run away and give them a piece of wheat through the dialog thingy...

(players are not supposed to be able to give them item when there are not tamed -- but I forget to implement the condition).
