I am not planning to put B&D on steam. I don't know how they are working. However, I hear that they are pretty flexible, so, it is not completely impossible that B&D will be on steam at some point in the future.

In this case, if for some reason I have change my mind and I put B&D on steam, all alpha/beta tester buyers of B&D will of course receive a stream key for the game.

As you may have seen, there is currently a player ranking on the Maximum number of day alive, Maximum number of monster killed and Maximum number of gold. I am not too much of an "achievement guy", but I know that it can be pretty addictive. Having small medals next to your name (in the forum for example), where each of these medals represent an achievement is actually a good idea.

Related to the achievement, I am currently working on the "Story" of each game (the one that is displayed during the Game Over). I working on making them more complexes and more detailed, with maybe a touch of humor. I think it might be nice for the players to be able to share they stories.

In the case of multi player games, it will probably be even more exciting.

Achievements gives a persistant dimension to the game just like stories, but little bit more like "farm", i know it's stupid but i always take pleasure in a game to "farm" achivements X) and when they gives medals or even things such "0.1 life point to your dog in game if you managed to kill 45 zombies in less 30 sec" i play several nights no-stop to get as much as i can =)
